A Day at Coal Bluff Campgroud

Today I decided to take Jax my American Bulldog for short walk in the waning hours of a very brisk Saturday afternoon. Walking this short but interesting trail offered several views that were breathtaking to say the least; of which, I have posted in the short video/slide show below. While walking on the trail you will come to several outcrops that will give you great views of the Pearl River and small cypress swamps , and that's just within the first one hundred yards or so. There was also evidence of active wild life in the form of tracks which were visible through out. I wasn't able to complete the trail because it became a little "gummy" due to the rain, but it was a nice walk none the less.

If you are into geocaching, as I am, this trail also offers you the chance to pick up a couple caches while you are out, but I'm not giving up the locations.

As this is a campground for both RV and tent campers, there are other things do there. There are picnic tables, a swimming pool, and a tennis court, so you can really have a full day here with family and friends. Also for large groups, there is a sizable pavilion with a very impressive pit-style grill. The camp sites and pavilion can be booked before hand. For information on that got to

Over all I rate the campsite and trail a "thumbs up." I hope you decided to give this trail a shot.
